Maternity Wrap Top
This is a maternity wrap top that I made. I have never worked with stretchy knit material or made a shirt before, so I’m very proud of how it turned out. Especially since I did this without a pattern. I, um, borrowed, the idea from Isabella Oliver’s maternity wrap tops, which retail for $130. My version cost me a whopping $3. There are several small issues with this one, like it could use a few more feet of material so I could get a nice tie in there, but for a savings of $127, I’m very pleased!

Someone asked for a picture of my maternity wrap top laid out flat, but it’s so long that it’s hard to get a good picture, here is the sketch I did before making the pattern. I decided on sleeves at the last minute and just traced around a shirt I already had to make those. I used 2 yards of knit t-shit fabric, and the top piece uses the full length of that fabric. I still think it needs about 1 more foot–maybe 2 more feet since my belly is still growing, so I think next time I’ll get 3 yards of fabric.
