Guest Post: One Dress, Six Ways! by The Long Ladies of Marie-Madeline Studio
My next guests are the lovely, lovely Long ladies of Marie-Madeline Studio. Today they are going to show you how to stretch your wardrobe and take one simple dress and wear it six different ways!
(And did I mention “generous” in addition to “lovely”? Check out the previous post to see how you can win an original Marie-Madeline pattern, The Street Fair Skirt, and the fabric to make it!)
We all like to get more bang for our buck, right?! This simple white dress was found on eBay for $30. We used other clothes from Achaia’s closet to make six totally different outfits… something dressy, something casual, something fun. The options are really endless!
Achaia popped on a lightweight short sleeve sweater and belt to make her dress look like a skirt.
A denim shirt is the perfect compliment to her lacy white dress! The brooch is vintage.
White dress + voile camisole + cardi.
Classic white Keds and a cropped red jacket make this outfit perfect for a play-day.
Here we’ve dressed up the white dress and made it perfect for a special occasion. (And the trench coat adds vintage flair!)
How about doubling up, and wearing a wispy cotton skirt on top of your dress? The cardi is from day three.
And this is something you can do with anything in your closet. It’s amazing how many options you can make for yourself when you only have one or two main pieces to work with… it just takes a little creative thinking!
