Favorite Quotes From Alt Summit That Rocked Me Like A Hurricane!
I told you guys how I rocked Alt Summit. Now I want to tell you a little bit about how Alt Summit rocked me. The speaker line-up was fantastic. I’ve been a blogger for a long, long time. I started with a personal blog in 2004 and have had so many different blogs since then. It always been a labor of love for me. I’ve made a few bucks off of ads, enough to fund my craft supply and fabric addiction, but my purpose in blogging has never been to make money. In fact, I kind of shunned that idea a little bit. I didn’t want to become a sell out blogger who pushes products I don’t believe in and has a blog that is basically one giant ad.
Alt really changed the way I look at this blog and the way I look at myself as a blogger. I realized that this here, what you’re reading, this is what I LOVE to do. I love to come up with ideas, share them and hopefully inspire someone a thousand miles away to make something with her hands. And if I can make money doing that, by collaborating with brands that I love and use anyway, then this thing that I love can grow. And I can spend more time making and sharing. I can bring on other creative souls to help me. And this thing that I love can grow, grow, grow.

I want to build something awesome, doing what I love to do. I already have the foundation.
Here are five quotes from the speakers at Alt that helped me make that shift:
