Alt Summit – Here I Go Again!
I can’t believe it has only been a year since the last Altitude Design Summit. I’ve had so many big changes in that short time. When I showed up in Salt Lake City last January, I felt like a high school freshman. I spent a lot of time worrying about what to wear. I tried to look like I knew what I was doing, and where I was going, but I was blubbering and shy around the popular kids. A year ago, I was a long-time blogger, but I wan’t a professional blogger.
Alt set off an alarm in my head that said, “Hey, dummy! You HAVE a job. You are a blogger. Yeah. That’s a real thing.” And so I went with it. And I got this regular gig blogging for a little company called Disney.
And then my friend Jenny from The Southern Institute invited me to be part of this Facebook group for creative bloggers, and I was like, “Yeah, sure, Jenny. I’ll join your little Facebook group.” and it turned out to be this mind-blowing awesomeness of awesome awesomeness that is inspiring and supportive and, did I mention awesome, on, like, a daily basis. I can’t tell you how much I love my CreativeMamas!
So this year is my sophomore year at Alt. I know what to expect. I’m excited to see my friends. I’m still worried about my shoes.
I’m finishing this post at the airport, ready to board my flight to Salt Lake City. I’m so excited about what the next few days will bring, and I can’t wait to share it all with you!
