Vivofit 2 Handmade Wristband
One of my Christmas gifts this year was a Garmin Vivofit 2 Activity Tracker. I was excited to use the tracker, but I was turned off by the silicone wristband that came with it. I wore it for a few days, but it clashed with everything – especially my work clothes. After searching online for alternative wristbands, I finally decided that I would just have to make one myself! I used some gold faux leather that I had left over from a previous project and a bit of clear vinyl to fit over the window so that I can clearly see that I am not meeting my daily step goals.
The Vivofit 2 popped out of the original silicone band. Don’t make fun of my step count.

I’ve been using the handmade wristband for about a month now, and it has held up really well. The pale gold looks great with just about everything and blends well with other accessories. The Vivofit doesn’t slide around or fall out of the inside pocket (which was my biggest concern when I made this), and I do still have the original silicone band that I use for sweaty working out times. Yeah, that’s right. I’ve been working out.
